Hello from Newhaven, UK!
I have been reading and watching videos of multikopters for about a year now and I just managed to buy my own okto XL a couple of weeks ago.
I have been very careful about the way I build it and have stretched my patience to its limit at times to make sure everything is done correctly (doing my best with badly translated text).
Last week I managed to have my first few flights and I have to admit I found it really hard.
I wasn't expecting to fly straight away, so I focused on taking of and trying to land as smoothly as possible. Of course the first landings were quite hard and a couple of times the kopter tipped and I broke a couple of propellers. Another time the kopter got blown by a gust and I brought it down quite fast to avoid it going near people, breaking one of the legs.
I have to say I'm really surprised by how well built this thing is. The wafer thin plates didn't look like they would survive a crash.
Anyway, I am devoted to get my skills down and hopefully join this growing community.
See you in there
