Ideal prop size/pitch on AXI 2814/22?

This might seem like a rather basic question this far into the game. I currently have 12x.38 APC props on a standard boom length (410mm) AD-8 HLE. One way of increasing lifting power would be to install larger/higher pitched propellers, but this means pulling it all apart to replace the booms with longer ones. Before getting embroiled in that PITA job I made a quick visit to eCalc to see what would happen with 13x6.5 props fitted. It said that the current requirement is out of the motors' range - with or without payload.

I thought loads of folks used 13x6.5 props.

So, who successfully uses 13x6.5 props with AXI 2814/22 motors?

I use 13x6.5 XOAR carbon on my AD-6 HL and on my AD-4 HL with Motor MK3638 which is similar to AXI 2814/22, I dont know why but AXI recomend max 13x5 ( http://mikrokopter.altigator.com/axi-281422-mikrokopter-special-motor-p-58.html ).

You could try APC 12x6 ( http://mikrokopter.altigator.com/apc-thin-electric-prop-12x6-e-propeller-p-282.html )

Hello, I successfully use 13x6.5 APCs with Axi 2814/22 on my quad. It is an ali based frame plus the Wookong bits and pieces and, with everything on board weighs just over 3K...this is largely because it is all driven by 2 x 5000mah 4s batteries.
