I'm flying a DIY Xaircraft hexa with DJI Wookong M flight controller. I use APC 10x4.7 props, Avroto 2814/11s motors. The total weight of my craft, 6000 mah lipo, and camera gimbal is 5 pounds (2.26kg). I get 5.5 minutes of flight time with the weight and setup keeping my battery within safe limits. I can get 11.5 minutes flight time if I run two 6000 mah lipos in parallel. The only problem is that my 30amp escs are luke warm: slightly warmer than room temperature. I would like to switch to carbon fiber props, but wonder if there will be any gain over my APC props. I'm happy with what I have so far (prop wise).
