I am continually dissapointed with the quality of the motors I am sourcing for my XA models. First I received a motor with my XA X650 V4 that had a visibly broken winding right out of the box. Another blew off the E-clip within three flights, and there seems to be none available from the company I purchased it from.
Now I build an XA Hexa, and use AKE QD1100B motors, and find that before I can even have a successful first flight I have one that seems to have a bad bearing, as the shaft is loose and wobbly.... It causes a noticable vibe and blurring of the arm it's on.
What motors are out there that are built with some decent level of quality besides the Avroto? I know Avroto is supposed to be an excellent motor, but they are big bucks too. Isn't there some middle ground?
