Just noticed the new Member Map Tab. Its pretty cool. I had no idea there were so many members in Europe. Wonder what the Spiders are. I see a spider out in the middle of some small island in the Pacific. I did not see a member in New Zealand, but I thought I had read some post from members in that part of the world.

These plugins work when they can identify your location based on your ip address. Sometimes that isn't possible, so in that case you may not show up on the map. I noticed it will also display either a flat map, or 3d, based on if your device can use Java or not. Personally, I like the flat map a little better since you can see more members, but that's personal opinion.

Very cool enhancement to the site though. It's always nice to see data spread across a map like that. Makes you realize how many people are actually on here, more so than just seeing a number.

I agree with you Kilby cool way to see how we are growing and where people are in the world that are doing the multicopter thing. Hey Bart what site do you think all the multicopter user from Africa are using?

that explains why I see a flat map - all my browsing is on an android 3.1 powered tabet

My ip address always appears as Auckland, New Zealand - which sucks as 3/4 of New Zealanders (which don't live in Auckland) think that place sucks!
