looking for good video downlink solutions, is an ip camera do-able???

I am trying to figure a simple lightweight, video downlink for my Qaudcopter. No knowing good ways of doing this I am looking for any information/advice out there.


I am toying with an IP camera but understand it will run on a 2.4G freq. I am not sure if that would be wise since I have a JR 2.4 Spread Spectrum Radio.
I would like to hear what you may say, please chime in with comment or solutions.

The IP camera will most likely have very poor range and being 2.4 GHz and conflicting with your Spektrum radio it will probably become useless. I would get something that's made specifically for this purpose.

IP cameras can be increased to over 1000ft - 3000ft, and with my computer I can create a portable hub which would bring the video wright into my laptop which would be nice, but I am not sold on the idea its just me toying around in my head. I have been looking around and have not found a lot of solutions for what I am trying to do.
