ESC lead length

Just wondering, where do you guys mount your ESC's (if you use them), on the arms near to the motor or nearer to the FC board & have longer ESC to Motor wires???

Much better to extend the ESC to motor connection rather then the ESC to Batt (dist ring etc)

keep battery leads short, extend motor wires

That was my initial thought, as the power is pulsed to the motors & constant to the ESC's.
