I am a rookie.

I'm new to both RC in general and multi rotors. I am primarily interested in photography/videography. I pretty much want the whole thing,FPV,waypoint, and a good camera. I don't need anything yet that would carry a DSLR but will use a GoPro 3 black for now.

My main question now is what vendor is reliable. I see that HeliPal is in Hong Kong and I have looked at the AtlantaHobby site. Does anyone have opinions re vendors for me to consider.

I am considering a Phantom 2 with a 3D gimbal, iPad ground station for FPV and waypoint use, and an iOSD for telemetry.

How close to McComb??? I fly a Phantom (FC40) and I like the way the Phantom flys. I have had it for a while and am fixing to upgrade to the 450 series. If you are close to McComb we can fly one weekend

Hello mrself58,.
I am a 63 year old family doctor in Clinton ,MS. Just went to family reunion in Silver Creek and the family stayed at the Hampton Inn in McComb.
My mother grew up on Missouri Ave, McComb but the reunion was on my Dad's side in Silver Creek/Tylertown. I havent bought yet but the idea of flying one weekend sounds fine. I was looking at the 450 550 family but understand the Phantom 2 will hold a gopro so may go that way. I'll let you know my progress of getting started.
