Flitetest rotor bones quad. First build.

Hey everybody, I am new to the forum, semi new to multi rotors and have a pretty good grasp on most things relating to rc.

So far i have built the frame which was not too dificult, soldered on bullet connectors to the motors, mounted all motors and esc's, wired everything up and am ready to start it up and get her all calibrated and what not.

I am using kk2.1 board, spektrum AR6210 rx, dx6i remote, multistar 15a esc's, turnigy 1380kv park 300 motors.

I love the pizza dome! Great to see an actual hand made wooden contraption, thank you for sharing! What size props you have? judging from the motors I would guess 6-7" right? Also what kind of wood did you use?

haha thanks! and i cant take all the credit the wooden part, came as a kit from Flitetest.com, i used what they had recommended simply because i had no other info to go off of (well before finding this forum). They are 8 1/4th inches, i just measured ha.

I saw that video and it's a great idea. In expensive parts. You can start with a quad and later add two or four more arms to the base frame... Simple and cost effective...especially for a beginner.

That is exactly what i was thinking! I will use this to learn and eventually build myself something larger.

At work, they were throwing away these thick plastic paper sheet holders. So i snagged them and im going to try to make parts out of them.

Not too sure what i can use them for but you never know.
