Hey folks,
New to the forum, and very new to RC. I rebuild vintage motorcycles and make custom parts up here in the wilds of Vermont. Just moved here from Brooklyn (lots more room for flying here). I'm decently handy, but never got into building these types of vehicles.
Recently got obsessed with trying to build a quadcopter and have decided to immediately bite off more than I can chew... The build will be for use with a GoPro, but for now I'll be happy to get the damn thing off the ground!. I've seen reference to people being great pilots between crashes, well I'd like to crash in between failed attempts at lift off!
i took some advice and bought myself a Blade Nano to learn to fly - and have been lucky enough to have a massive indoor space (old granite shed with 40' ceilings) to practice in while the winter here in Vermont ramps up. So far so good. Been really fun getting to know the controls, and I now feel that if I can get tight with this little thing, I may be ready to move on to bigger and....
I'll be posting my proposed disaster here soon, so keep your eyes peeled in the noob section so you can A) rip it apart, B) love the concept, C) shake your head in disbelief or D) steer me in the right direction.
thanks!
