Looking for do's and don'ts advice for adding 2nd radio to control gimbal and camera for video/photography

Currently using Futaba 8fg and R6208SB receiver.

Misc questions.....

1. Pro's and cons of using Futaba or other brand.
2. Pro's and cons of going with minimum channels or lower cost radio/receiver vs getting another 8fg.
3. Should I use another 2.4 GHz system?
4. Any thing else to consider?

Thanks in advance !

We use a Devo 10 - cheap, reliable, and lots of channels.

This is one of the few areas I think it's ok to go lower cost.

2.4 will be ok.

I use an 8fg for flying and cam ops. Figure it is a good way to have a backup if one has issues. It is easily to find 8fg radios used in the $200 range and you will know already be familiar with the system.

If I'm going low end for camera ops only, how many channels would be prudent. I'd think 4-8 would be plenty. Right now I'd probably only use 3. Maybe 4-5 at some point in the future. I see Devo makes a cheap 7 channel system. That would probably be plenty???
