Cinestar 8 with Wookong M

I have a Cinestar 8 With a Wookong M system. I've been working on tuning the Wookong for perfect flight. I was wondering how stable have people been able to get the cinestar to fly? Compared to my F550, its only mediocre as my F550 w/naza flys perfect. Is the Cinestar Inherently unstable? Or am I just being too picky? The props are 14X4.7 ApC and motors are stock Quadrocopters. I'm running a 4S 8000maH battery. Currently, I'm using a Canon 5d on the Freefly Radian System. I can get fairly decent video, but I'm reaching for perfection. Anyone have any suggested Wookong gain settings or any general information that might help me stabilize this bird? Thanks in advance!

Looks like I have the same system as you. I am sorry this isn't the question you asked about but since you have the same system, have you had your motors get really hot with the wookong m, 4s 8000mah batteries, and qc-3328 motors? If I fly for 3 minutes, the motors get too hot touch...have you experienced this before? What kind of ESC's do you have? I have the turnigy plush 40a (reflashed) but still no luck with the heat issue.

How hot are they getting? I used a laser thermometer and the temps get to about 150'F. This is after a five and half minute flight. The esc's are 30 amp octos from dji.

I hoved today for 3 mins and most of my motors were about 145 F but motors 5 & 7 were about 165 F. The Turnigy Plush 40a esc's were about 115 - 120 F. Maybe I am crazy but they seem really hot. I had one motor burn up in flight one day and ever since than, I have been a bit paranoid.

I had a similar problem with a custom designed 800mm Hex....... finally I upgraded the motors to more powerful 420KV Turnigy Multistar 22pole with 15 x 5.5 carbon fiber props and all wobbles disappeared for totally smooth flights. However I have noticed a bit of random yaw into the wind......still working on that. IMHO - the MC programming is designed to accommodate various configurations within certain limits...... long MR motor arms will not work properly with underpowered motors and/or undersized props........ Since Quadrocopter USA sells a complete DIY package made up of the Cinestar8 and WooKong M GPS.... I suspect there are no issues whatsoever with the Cinestar8 airframe...... and I just bought one....... for my next build.....
