First multirotor

Hi experts,

First post here. Well I just got my first flight and i've been doing some calculations to choose the most appropriate power source. Just cant get my head around how low the flight times appear to be on paper. I know there is quite a big difference between hover times and flight times. But say I want to do waypoint navigation. My guess is that would include flight times and not hover times correct ?

These are specs,
Its hex build weighing without drive at 890g
Each of the 6 motors weigh 73g / 17.1A max current draw / Thrust of 1050g
Each ESC is 30A / weighing at about 27g
Props are 9x4.7
So total weight of it all without battery is about 890g + (73g x 6) + (27g x 6) = 1490g
Granted total thrust is 6300g I can put couple of lipos and may be a FPV system as well.
If I choose 3S 5000mAh 30c (weighing roughly at 500g) that gives me a flight time at max throttle of around,
( 5 / (17.1 x 6) ) * 60 = 3 mins

Am I seeing it right or have I missed something here ?
If it is then anyway to improve this ? Could I possibly run two lipos in parallel ?
In all seriousness Id like at least a flight time of 20mins or better with this hardware.

Thanks in advance :tennis:

Ok... where to start.

The motors are CAPABLE of drawing 17A when loaded up with a big enough propeller and lots of throttle. My hexa hovers at My 1.5Kg hexa hovers at under 24 amps - 4A per motor.
10 minutes hover from a 3000mA pack.
