Save the date!

I'm very happy to announce that MultiRotorForums.com will be sponsoring a multi-rotor fly-in at the Heli Extravaganza at the Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, South Carolina this year!

http://www.tripletreeaerodrome.com/

This is the site of the massive (and I mean massive!) Joe Nall fly in each year and this year the multi-rotor community is being enthusiastically welcomed as part of their annual heli event.

I'll have more details as this unfolds but please set aside the date, kennel the dogs, fill up the gas tanks and make the trek to SC for a lot of fun and the chance to finally meet your multirotorforums.com web-pals!

Looking forward to it!

Bart

Keep in mind that Joe Nall is in May and they have a very active heli flight line so feel free to join us there May 11-18 (I'll be there sleeping in the back of the Suburban May 15 to 18) as well.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
where to get one though?

i hope the response to this thread isn't an indication of the attendance we'll see at the event! :chuncky:

I'm beginning to plan some activities, ideas so far

FPV scavenger hunt, boards will be placed around the property and pilots will have to read as many of the boards as possible within a time limit and return home (still needs site approval)
Flamewheel racing
Best Triple Tree site photo

For the record, MultiRotorForums.com is participating as a sponsor and is assisting with management of the multi-rotor flight line. We aren't making any money off of our support. Triple Tree charges entry for these events with monies going towards maintenance and management of the facility.

Hope to see all y'all there!

Bart I would love to make this event. I have always wanted to goto a big RC event, like Joe Nail or the Toledo show. I have a small RV, actually its a big van called a Sportsmobile. ANyways - I did not see any info about staying at that site, other than you sleeping in your suburban. Is there some campground at the actual flying site. That would be awesome and sort of seal the deal for me. GOing to research some areas close to the site as well. Will post up any info I find out. I would not be opposed to picking up a MR pilot or two along the way either. Durango to Woodruff is 28 hours - some company/another driver might be good. FLy and film along the way.

I'm pretty sure camping on site will be available. I'm not sure what the details are but most attendees do camp (tent, RV, or camper) while they're there for the other events. I know SleepyC is a regular at Joe Nall so maybe he can chime in on this.
