M1 stopped - latest WKM with latest firmware

Hi There,

This morning was my first flight with the new S800/Zenmuse combo and I had an M1 motor failure from about 15 feet up. I was able to land it spinning (heavily) but the M1 motor refused to start again for at least 10 mins, at which point it worked fine!

Looks as though there have been some issues with this in the past - do you know what the cause was? How to fix?

Only things I can think of are:

1- my Wookong to ESC servo leads could have caused it (were too short so had to add extension leads)
2-My ESCs (unlikely as they were only warm and worked fine after a few mins of rest)
3-my Motors (unlikely as they were only warm and worked fine after a few mins of rest)

Would really appreciate some advice!

Cheers

I have no personal experience of the S800. But if your setup has got bullet connectors between the ESC and motor, this might be a weak spot.
Many bullet connectors on the market does not provide the kind of tight connection over time as neccesary for this application.
Though, since you say it is an new chopper one might think the connectors would be in good shape. But I would not bet on it...

You state latest firmware - so as per today that would mean 5.20, right?
