I see it so often, rather than writing "10 inch blades" people will use a set of numbers, like "8x4" or even in three dimensions like "8x4.5x3" What does this all mean?
8" wide tip-to-tip
4.5" Pitch. For every 360 rotation of the prop, it moves 4.5" forward (in the ideal perfect world).
Lower pitch is best for most multis as the machine is not climbing at 30mph (like when a plane flies at 30mph forward) so lower pitch props are more efficient. Higher pitch on aerobatic models.
