Getting a F550 from Atlanta Hobby...

The company I'm buying it from is putting Twister motors on it instead of the DJI motors. And they are adding APC props instead of the stock DJI props.

I wonder if the Twister motors are going to be ok.

They are these: Twister 450 880Kv

Heres a link to their page:

Those guys have been in multicopters since the beginning.

I trust what they do. But I want to make sure I'm going to get
a trust worthy multirotor for the price I'm paying!

What do you think?

?

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
are they building it for you as well?

if they're building it with those motors then they should assume some responsibility for making sure they'll work.

actually, if Atlanta Hobby has been in it since the beginning why do they still only sell the basic line-up of DJI stuff?

I think there are 3-4 RTF (Ready to Fly) builders on this forum that build to the highest levels of quality at very reasonable price points (and I strongly suspect a better job than Atlanta based on their motor and prop choice on your build). I'm personally flying a 550 RTF and has been issue free from day one, right out of the box. Just my take, no offense intended.
